Rachel White is the consummate good girl. A hard-working attorney at a large Manhattan law firm and a diligent maid of honor to her charmed best friend Darcy, Rachel has always played by all the rules. Since grade school, she has watched Darcy shine, quietly accepting the sidekick role in their lopsided friendship. But that suddenly changes the night of her thirtieth birthday when Rachel finally confesses her feelings to Darcy's fiance, and is both horrified and thrilled to discover that he feels the same way. As the wedding date draws near, events spiral out of control, and Rachel knows she must make a choice between her heart and conscience. In so doing, she discovers that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk everything to be true to yourself.

I loved reading this book. I couldn't put it down and finished it in 3 days. Every free moment I had I was reading this book. There is sooo much drama and you just never know what choices or decisions the characters are going to make next. The ending is not predictable like most romance novels so the whole time you are reading you just keep wondering "how is all of this going to end". The ending is happy and sad at the same time. My mind is still spinning wondering what would have happened if only other decisions were made. I highly recommend this book if you love romance novels. Also it's very realistic, some romance novels consist of situations that could never actually happen. This one is a situation that could very well happen between friends and lovers.
  • Wonderful writing...couldn't put it down!

This book draws you right in. I related to Rachel and could even feel the love between Dex and Rachel. During many of the ups and downs of the book I gasped a few times, put my hand over my mouth and even wished for a certain turn to happen. Cannot wait to read "Something Blue. " already downloaded it. The way this book was written makes you relate so easily to Rachel.

This book is really a fun read. I read it in two nights, because you can't really put it down. It's really funny and cute. Something blue is the book that follows and is also very good. Typical funny, romantic chick-lit :) can't wait for the movie. Hope it does the book justice. I think the casting seems great as I can totally picture Kate Hudson as Darcy Rhones. And Ginnifer Goodwin seems to always play passive roles like Rachel White. Anyway I definitely recommend buying this book. Pretty inexpensive and well worth it.
